The romance is over / the project that never was...
Well, amongst other things, I'd been working on the valentines magazine commission until a few days ago when my US agent flagged up something decidedly iffy in the contract for the job. The long and short of it is the project is no more and I really should have known better than to start work in earnest before the i's were dotted and the t's were crossed. Lesson learned. Still it's more stuff for the blog (feast and famine there for the moment, I know, I know... :) and now I have time to spare for the Jabberwock. I'm finally sketching in the 'tulgey wood' so I hope to have stuff to show soon enough.

So sorry things ended, I'm sure it was an exciting opportunity! We've all got a odd commission or two floating around. Bad economies seem to make them more prevalent as people tighten the purse strings.
I'll look forward to the new work!
I really like them...good work.
I like the running heart guy.
I'm too 'pinked' out to comment.
Nah, not really. I like the sketches but have to admit, I think the animal stuff is much, much stronger.
It's a shame that the project didn't pan out the way you'd hoped - sounds like a lucky escape from an all too familiar sounding situation though.
Keep up the good work Champ! Looking forward to the 'wocky!
verification: ousin as in, who's in there? NOT as in oozing, all though both are suitable where the Jabberwock is concerned!
awww dang those contacts (which I never understand anyway), these are truly awesome though, love the heart doily cutouts and really love the guy with the top hat and big card.
p.s. yes cobbler is the US name for crumble also can be called, crisp, betty, brown betty, buckle, pandowdy and in North Carolina it is known as a Sonker where they hold an annual Sonker festival.....mmmmmmm
come siamo romantici!!!
Those are so adorable...sorry about what happend.
