A silly bit of nonsense sketched straight onto the computer just so I can feel like I've done something creative today. Truth be told I've been a little creatively out of sorts the last few days. I've been pushing and pulling the fearsome beastie spread this way and that but I really need to stand back and get some perspective on things. I feel like I've got two left hands (which is OK but I'm right handed...). I'll post just as soon as I get my 'illustrator trousers' back from the dry cleaners.

ha kool i like this style.
It's not easy being green....lol.
It might be funny to have Kermit sad because he has some type of recycling problem. or something. :)
Excellent pun.
And that's not half bad for one day :)
Could there be a companion piece... Miss (anthropic) Piggy perhaps?
This is, as always, great work Matt, but I know what you mean about finding that you've gone out without your "illustrator trousers" on, or is that just a nightmare I have? It'll pass, keep banging the rocks together!
Really great, Matt. I know exactly what you mean about being out of sorts... I've been feeling it for some time now. However, from the looks of this piece, at least you still have your illustrator shorts handy.
Take heart, though. I've heard that when you hit the wall like this, it means that you're just getting ready to go through some change/improvement in your art.
Silly man, its the magical illustrator underwear that give the powers...not the trousers. Good luck thought, and I do like Kermit. Its kermit, not hermit- i think? i dont know.
Nice dude and love that Beastie too!
ps- my word verification was "shaggic"... awesome!
brilliant! love it (as per usual!) I was going to make some sort of comment about you 'wearing the trousers' with this pic, but I felt I was going down a road paved by bad Bruce Forsyth reject jokes... I shall refrain!
I love this piece; wonderfully expressive.
Fantastic piece, has a nice nostalgic feel to it.
Hey Matt.
Really great meeting you yesterday. Your work is fantabulous and i look forward to seeing more once you've found your illustrator trousers.
loo :o)
Wonderfull Matt! You´re amazing with or without trousers!
:-)
Kermie feels like a radical departure from the magical and whimsical beastie. It may be my imagination but there appears to be a dark side to the green prince... What is he hiding behind those sorrowful eyes? Has he reached a point of no return? the past weighs heavily on those narrow shoulders! #:-) Rob H
hey matt, awesome blog. how do you get those background textures. would love to know.

This won't succeed as a matter of fact, that's exactly what I consider.
I love your blog as designer! seems that you are a great illustrator, keep on working!
